Analysis of the cultural tourism of selected municipalities in the South Moravian region

The research deals with cultural tourism in the Czech Republic with a special focus on recreation in the South Moravian Region especially in disadvantaged areas. Cultural tourism is one of the fastest-growing forms of tourism and has a significant impact on the development and sustainability of rural areas. The study aim is to analyse the cultural tourism potential of selected municipalities. The research includes analysis and evaluation of tangible and intangible cultural heritage based on literature review and accessible data. According to the results of the study the strengths and weaknesses of the selected localities were determined. The results showed that there is potential of cultural tourism in studied area to be developed and profitable.
