Dialogism in oral discourse: the case of Algerian and French popular proverbs

Proverbs are the wisdom of the nations, an expression of their traditions, customs and stories. They are considered to be summaries of personal or collective opinions, practices and experiences. Our present contribution aims to verify the existence of a reconciliation of the proverbs of the two languages. Thus, we can admit that this intangible heritage is not specific to a given society or culture: proverbs are universal and shared. They are translated into different languages and dress according to the cultural values of each society.
