Cultural heritage and tourism: form of presentation, way of preservation

The purpose of this article is to discuss the relationship between tourism and specifically cultural tourism and the preservation of the material and intangible cultural heritage. I discussed some of these concepts and for this preservation to take concrete into account the measures related to the necessary use of strategic planning and the possibility of listening to the local community in the use of this same asset for local development. It presents a history of this relationship in Brazil and I discussed the example of Pelourinho in Salvador as a form of this preservation.
