Resumen |
Xilankapu is the first batch of national intangible cultural heritage; it is the treasure that Tujia ancestors left us. However, it has been lagging behind in development due to changes in people s lifestyle. In this paper we are going to describe the Xilankapu weaving technology, color and patterns. We will also analyse Xilankapu s current developments and problems. We suggest that the traditional and fashionable elements should be developed in parallel by utilising the different Xilankapu patterns in apparel and home design. We want the clothing and home designs to meet the modern day pursuit of a high quality of life, and ensure the development of Xilankapu patterns, so that more people can understand Xilankapu and the Tujia culture. |
