Résumé

Since culinary art is part of the traditional cuisine most prone to changes and influences from other cultures, the paper will use the examples of Serbian, Slovak and Romanian cuisine to present one such encounter in multicultural Vojvodina. The authors’ intention is to analyze culinary lexemes and demonstrate interlinguistic (and intercultural) contacts among these ethnic groups, as well as the influences of other cultures that, historically speaking, could directly or indirectly change these autochthonous culinary terminological systems in Vojvodina. In addition, tracing the current scientific interest in cultural heritage, the paper represents the beginning of a wider thematic intercultural researsch. Specifically in this case it is one of the elements in the process of compiling a register of Pannonian culinary art. In the wider sense it is a contribution to making an ethnolinguistic dictionary of central European cuisine and, in that sense, a contribution to the protection of tangible and intangible cultural heritage.
