Résumé

Aquilaria Sinensis (or Guanxiang in Chinese) is one of the essential species of agarwood, and has a profound historical origins. At present, the research on "sustainable development of Aquilaria Sinensis" mainly focuses on cultural inheritance, planting technology, market promotion, etc. However, it lacks discussion from the sustainable consumption and production, economy of intangible heritage, sustainable industrial competitiveness. For this, this paper applies an evaluation indicator system for the sustainable industrial competitiveness of Aquilaria Sinensis, with secondary competitiveness indicators of resource, market, environment, and intangible heritage economy. Based on this indicator system, it was found that Aquilaria Sinensis has the advantage of intangible heritage economic competitiveness. This advantage can energize the sustainable development of Aquilaria Sinensis industry. It suggested that we should gradually promote a dual-driven sustainable model of “economy of intangible heritage + integration of primary, secondary and tertiary industries”. This model aligns with the Goal 12 and Goal 15 from Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and also provides some references for the sustainability and upgrading of other Chinese intangible heritage.
