Résumé

The paper proposes an analysis based on the images that we can see of a city radically transformed across all its urban space and completely altered in its daily life during Valencia s ephemeral festival known as the Fallas, listed as Intangible Heritage of Humanity by UNESCO. We carry out research into this public and urban celebration, using an aesthetic, artistic and educational perspective to analyse some of the processes of visual and aesthetic transformation seen in the city during the festival and the public invasion of artistic and aesthetic demonstrations, together with all the social interactions - and their conflicts - which transform the urban space of the city.
