Résumé

This article analyses the correspondence between material and immaterial heritage, paying special attention to the latter. It proposes that this immaterial sphere is a space to weave relations that revitalise and actualise heritage, to enjoy it commonly and to transmit it between generations. For developing this idea, we intertwine ideas of immaterial heritage and lived heritage, with the concepts of lives worth living and the Buen Vivir. The Itonami Daisen initiative in Japan is used as an example of this weaving, and also as an incentive to think about new forms of museum, which concentrate less in material objects, and more in activating them as part of the cultural and common life.
