Abstract

The vestiges of the rural cinemas, buildings that are gradually being diluted in time, have been captured in film images. Those images are characterized by memory as a leitmotif, the extended version of publications as form and the generation of intangible heritage as its goal. I analyse the presence of four buildings that have deserved the attention of cinema and television images in the twenty-first century, when the form of leisure they represented had ceased to be valid. The province of Cáceres (Spain) appears as a symptom of the history of rural cinemas as a whole
