Taking the intangible cultural heritage program, Xiamen Pearl Embroidery, for example, this thesis firstly discusses about the digital collection and archiving of Xiamen Pearl Embroidery. Based on the generalization of its development, history and features, and subsequently moving towards the aspect of digital virtual museum, digital aided design system and digital story to explore appropriate digital inheritance and promotion approaches for traditional craft art.
