Abstract

Handicrafts allude to a context of rural origin with specific forms of life that imply historical conflicting processes, fixing those native populations in condition of inequality and subjection. ln this way they are privileged constituents as vehicles of multiple social and historical meanings and of group entitlement; it is possible to investigate through them processes of transformation and redefinition in the urban outline.Starting from these premises, we would like to analyze some aspects conceming handicrafts production of the native population settled in Rosario, taking into consideration: changes occurred with migrations by means of producers’ valuations and their management as a part of the cultural inheritance of the City.
