The inheritance and application of Zhang velvet stain in modern costume design

Zhang velvet satin is an intangible cultural heritage of Jiangsu Province. In view of the less application of Zhang velvet satin and the difficult in inheritance in niodern costunie design, this paper applies it in modern costunie design, so as to inherit and develop the splendid features of Zhang velvet satin. Firstly, the origin, technical and pattern characteristics of Zhang velvet satin are introduced and its inheritance wavs are analyzed. Secondly, on the basis of traditional Zhang velvet satin, innovative designs such as color application, pattern selection and enibroiderv are carried out. The innovated Zhang velvet satin is applied in niodem costunie design in a new wav, so that people can have a deeper understanding of Zhang velvet satin art, give Zhang velvet satin new artistic vitality/and achieve the purpose of inheritance and re-development. The research results provide new ideas for the inheritance and application of Zhang velvet satin, and contribute to the inheritance and developnient of China s intangible cultural heritage.
