Música tradicional i literatura de viatges. La construcció del paisatge sonor de Mallorca a través dels arquetips folklòrics i regionalistes (1807-1911)

Travel literatura is an essential source, and little explored, for the study of tradicional music of Mallorca. Thre persistence of typified musical arguments that intensity the impressions of an idealized soundscape allows us to definí folklòric and regionalista archetypes that will be perpetuated throughout the nineteenth century and the first dècades of the twentieth. Based on the intertextual study of the major Works of the gener, this article not only systematizes the funcions of music within the context of travel literatura, but also analyzes and detects the mecanisms of otherness that make them possible.
