La memòria del món pesquer: Dossier

The aim of this paper is to contrast the actual memo-ries of the seafaring world with the process of patrimonalization that is taking place today all along the Catalan coast. Based on the concept of moral economy of community, as formulated by E. P. Thompson, the paper focuses on the case of the share system in fishing, its theorization and its remembrance through oral memory. We reclaim that social conflicts in the seafaring world should have a place between the intangible heritages to be conserved
