The objective of this article is to delve into neighborly strategies for the organization and development of the Ve l á of Nuestra Señora de los Dolores from El Cerro del Águila (Seville), as well as its social dimension, insofar as it constitutes a symbolic reference for this neighborhood on the outskirts of Seville. Specifically, the text will focus on the collective efforts made by the A. VV. Parque Estoril of that neighborhood for guaranteeing the continuity of this popular festival with special emphasis on the values of social activism, neighborhood participation and public space appropriation that characterize this living heritage.
