Interpretation and modern application of bionic design of tongdao dong brocades

Dong brocades are an intangible cultural heritage in China and also a crystallization of the labor and wisdom of the Dong people.It is an important content of inheritance and innovation to study the Artistic characteristics of Dong brocades patterns.Bionics is an ini[\textgreaterortant way to form Dong brocades patterns.Through a Held survey, real Dong brocades are collected and their patterns are extracted.According to the narrations and living environment of local Dong people, the features of Dong brocade patterns are investigated from the perspective of bionics, and the cultural implications of bionic Dong brocades patterns are explored.Our research suggests that Dong brocades have three characteristics; concrete bionics, abstract bionics and color bionics.Out of pursuit of beauty and love of life, the Dong people demonstrate the characteristics of their living environment and conditions through patterns, reflecting the totemism and cultural origin of the Dong people.Combined with the application in modern garments, this paper provides reference for the inheritance and innovative application of Dong brocades.
