Korean War Veteran's Memories Within The Framework Of Oral History

Oral culture still exist from past to present although its losing its essence. Increasing number of recorded data in nowadays has pushed back this area. However there is a lot of intresting issues remain among certain people in their memories. The case of Korean War is one of them. Memories of Korean War veterans constituted one of the most important events of recent history. Some interesting unrecorded details has been preserved in veterans memories These memories are also a part of our cultural heritage left by the interaction with Korea. These cultural heritage can be accepted as intangible cultural heritage.Many turkish soldiers participated Korean War. Korean War veterans has shared their memories with. us with the same excitement of that day. These memories are especially remarkable in refleting the feelings of soldieres under fire. In this study,especially, the memories of volunteer soldiers, contains important details which can enlighten recent history. These details will help us to place Turkish Korean relations on a strong base.
