Conservation and socialization of the documentary heritage of the Library of the University of Matanzas

Identify and locate all the scientific production derived from the development of research by teachers and students to implement actions for the rescue and safeguarding of the university cultural heritage of the university of Matanzas. the research contributes to the research project "university cultural heritage in the comprehensive training of professionals at the university of matanzas (pnap)". the empirical methods used were the analytical-synthetic, historical-logical method and documentary analysis that allowed the consultation of primary sources that served as a theoretical reference for the investigation. the results obtained show the potential of the university library to fulfill the objectives set, and the need to design a strategy for working with cultural heritage. The role of university libraries in rescuing and disseminating identity and cultural heritage is an essential link in the conservation of the historical memory of humanity, and of the university itself, implies a recognition of the social historical memory and community. The research approach allows us to highlight the role that libraries play in preserving knowledge for future generations.
