Resumen

The study concerns about gastronomic events and its impacts in regional tourism as branded event. The brand events bring evidence to regional gastronomy and as tourism value are very important to many municipalities of Rio Grande do Sul, as well as identified regional cuisine as cultural expression. The method used is the literature review in a qualitative approach. The secondary search investigated the literature and information sites. The regional cuisine as an intangible cultural heritage can create opportunities for brand events to be used as tourist attraction for cities.
