Application of Yangzhou paper-cut art in woollen garment design

In order to explore the innovation and application of Yangzhou paper-cutting art in tweed garment design, the feasibility of combining Yangzhou paper-cutting art with woollen garment design was addressed. The artistic characteristics of Yangzhou paper-cutting were used as the starting point to elaborate the significance of Yangzhou paper-cutting as a traditional folk art of intangible cultural heritage in garments, and the design characteristics and fashion needs of woolen garments were discussed in terms of pattern layout, technique application and craft performance of Yangzhou paper-cutting art. The research results show that Yangzhou paper-cut art provides ideas for the innovative design of woollen clothing, excavates the development potential, increases the added value, provides a new direction for the personalized design of woollen clothing, and opens up a new way for the protection and inheritance of traditional handicraft culture.
