Application of VR Technology in Intangible Cultural Heritage Protection

The intangible cultural heritage is a “living fossil” which reflects the existence and development of human folk culture and lifestyle. It tells the world in a unique way about the course of human growth. However, intangible cultural heritage is a special cultural carrier with an intangible state characteristics, which brought a variety of difficulties in promoting and protecting to people. Due to the shortcomings in traditional methods, this work applied the advantages of VR technology to the protection of intangible cultural heritage, in order to achieve the sustainable development goal of making innovative and characteristic intangible cultural heritage in the protection.
