Jongmyojeryeak(Jongmyo ritual music) is the first important intangible cultural asset of the nation and is a representative cultural heritage of our nation listed as a world human intangible cultural heritage in UNESCO. Nevertheless, the problem that Jongmyojeryeak is distorted in various ways is constantly being raised, and this study is to investigate which part is the problem. Jongmyojeryeak consists of music, songs, and dances, and the dance used in Jongmyojerye is called Jongmyoilmoo. This study is to investigate the sword dance movement of Jeongdaeupjimu among the distortion of Jongmyojeryeak through the study on the third song Takjeong by Jeongdaeupjimu, one of the Jongmyoilmoo. The results of comparing and analyzing the movements of Takjeong recorded in Siyongmubo and Takjeong designated as the current national important intangible cultural property were as follows. First, the present Takjeong of Jeongdaeupjimu lacks sword techniques even though it is a sword dance. Second, the present Takjeong of Jeongdaeupjimu lacks interpretation of predicate based on a sword technique. Finally, the present Takjeong of Jeongdaeupjimu is different with the Takjeong of Siyongmubo in the way of the content and turn of the predicate. Therefore, if complementation about this is made, more accurate Takjeong s sword movements can be found. In other words, it is expected that Takjeong s sword dance movements close to the original form can be achieved by acquiring the basic usage of sword and making accurate interpretation of Takjeong s predicate composed of Chinese characters based on the sword technique and reproducing the movements in order of Takjeong recorded in Siyongmubo. This study on Takjeong s sword dance movements can be provided as a basic data for future studies on the sword dance movements of Jeongdaeupjimu. |
