Chaozhou-Shantou drawnwork skill is one of national intangible cultural heritages, and its products are sold well in more than 110 countries and regions. It is known as the "southern flower". It is the product of the combination of traditional Chaozhou embroidery and European pumping technology, reflecting the integration of a variety of artistic styles. This article discusses the aesthetic characteristics of Chaozhou-Shantou drawnwork art in the aspects of material selection, pattern and skill. In combination of its regional characteristics, this paper proposes to scientifically affirm and rationally position Chaozhou-Shantou drawnwork technology under the view of intangible cultural heritage protection, and strengthen authenticity protection under the ecological environment, implement the productive protection under the economic market as well as ponder over heritage development opportunities. This is of great theoretical and practical significance for the protection and transmission of intangible cultural heritage.
