Intangible cultural assets are not only critical elements of culture, but also a heritage based on the traditions derived from the community as all traditional forms. These assets are generally handed down directly or orally transmitted. And it is different from tangible cultural assets for its alteration with time. Of course the transmission of intangible cultural assets is most significant, but partly, it often reflects the manufacturer’s individuality, periodic, and regional characteristics. Therefore, artisan’s creativity is likewise emphasized, as well as intangible cultural assets reproduction should be the top priority.Thus, the creative production of intangible cultural asset art works as a representative traditional and cultural heritage of Korea is required, and moreover, high quality commoditization approach to Korean traditional art works is the most critical matter. For that, fusion of intangible asset skills and discussion about systematic design development and methodology through organic relationships with professionals are urgently needed. The subject of this study is intangible asset skills in the area of industrial arts, in which cultural transmitters’ creative talents could be revealed effectively, as the invigoration of main intangible cultural asset force and high class commoditization of Korean representative traditional art works. The purpose of this study is to suggest creative fusion design based on intangible cultural property holders’ skills, and also targeted on high class cultural commoditization capability approach and its design methodology suggestion. This study intends to deal with intangible cultural property artisans’skill fusion, design method, and transfusion of Korean designs mainly. |
