Resumen

Through the concepts of limnic territory and limnoregions, this study cross references several scales a quantitative inventory of the types of water bodies and a qualitative identification of local and regional social facts over time. Thanks to the tools and methods of limnological geography, multiple landscape dynamics and trajectories are highlighted in the territory chosen for this study, covering the central third of mainland France. An unpublished cartography reveals over the last two centuries known territories and others unfairly ignored and on which limnic knowledge and interpersonal skills can be part of the tangible or intangible heritage.
