Gijisi Juldarigi is national intangible heritage. It is also listed representative UNESCO s intangibleculture heritage of humanity. And it is core performance of representative festival at Dangjin-siProvince too. This three aspects can be good for future of Gijisi Juldarigi. But I have consciousness onthe matter that Complex presence of Gijisi Juldarigi can act as a handicap on it s transmission. Thisresearch starts right here.The inspection began with context which Gijisi Juldarigi located on. I investigated how threeaspects above define Gijisi Juldarigi. First, as national intangible heritage Gijisi Juldarigi shouldconsider archetype of keeping. Gijisi Juldarigi should consider that it isolated attempts for internalelaboration and the essential technic and artistic ability being passed down separately. Second, asUNESCO s intangible culture heritage of humanity Gijisi Juldarigi should consider the emphasis ontransmission community, guard against pursuit of commercial interests and decontextualizationthrough festival, Coping with change and subsequent tasks after listing. Third, as core perfomance ofrepresentative festival at Dangjin-si Gijisi Juldarigi should consider clash between festive orientationand national intangible cultural orientation.Next I proposed what Gijisi Juldarigi needed for vitalization. I set up four key note that should benoted. Transmission object, transmission subject, transmission space and folk festival are.In case of transmission object, the essential technic and artistic ability namely archetype needs tobe established. A switch to flexible discussion on archetype can be needed.In case of transmission subject developing appropriate training regulations for Juldarigi is needed.Conversion of local community transmission, constitution and role sharing of new festivalizationorganization, establishment of management system for joint registration subject and related laws arerequired too.In case of transmission space, memory device about old-transmission space has been proposedand cultural space associated with transmission should be closely related to the life of the community.
