Ethnographic view about the fishermen population and what being a fisherman means and the practice of artisanal fishing incommunities both on the coast and on the banksof the Magdalena Riverin the Colombian Caribbean region, with the goal of getting local knowledge ethnography, territorialities, cultural components, struggles and resistances that revitalizethe daily life of fishermen in the Caribbean region. The text is organized in two sections: one about riverside fishermen and the other one about littoral fishermen.And presents the components ofthe cultural heritage, in order to provide knowledge about the reality of fishermen communities and dignify their work associal and politic people which has contributed to the social and identity construction of the region.
