Resumen

In this article, we intend to review the state of art of minority languages following on their inclusion in the Intangible Cultural Heritage category and the safeguarding and musealization processes that accompany this distinction. We will present a general view of museums of languages in the world and on the border areas, proposing a view of these as contact zones (Pratt). The main objective is to inspire future creation processes of interpretation centers focused on minority languages along the Spanish-Portuguese border.
