Narrar, mostrar y cantar la pasión. Ejemplo de patrimonio inmaterial

Throughout the centuries, the penitential brotherhoods have tried to evangelize the people of God with their images and thus, the simple and illiterate population knew the Passion and Death of Christ. In some towns in Spain, such as Mar chena, a town in the Sevillian countryside, this plastic catechesis showed and still shows these sacred scenes with its images, with sermons and commands, the typology of its processions and with the music of its ancient saetas. This has allowed the preservation of some unique Easter celebrations, considered examples of intangible heritage today. A lo largo de los siglos, las hermandades penitenciales han pretendido evangelizar al pueblo de Dios con sus imágenes y así, la población sencilla e iletrada conocía la pasión y muerte de Cristo. En algunas poblaciones de España, caso de Marchena, localidad de la campiña sevillana, esa catequesis plástica mostraba y muestra escenas sacras con sus imágenes, con sermones y mandatos, la tipología de sus cortejos y con la música de sus saetas antiguas. Esto ha permitido que se conserven unas celebraciones de Semana Santa de carácter singular, consideradas ejemplos de patrimonio inmaterial en la actualidad
