Model Built about the Development of Heritage Theme Park: A Case Study on the Reconstructing of the International Intangible Cultural Heritage Park

There are various ways to construct and develop heritage tourism destination. Among them, constructing theme parks has emerged in recent ten years. International Intangible Cultural Heritage Park (ICH Park) in Chengdu is a new theme park that connects the protection of intangible cultural heritage with tourism industry. However, due to various reasons, the current utilization rate of it is disappointed. To promote the value of the ICH Park, we first got ideas through document analysis and find problems during the field study and then made a comparative study based on successful domestic theme parks and finally a model to holistically summarize advices by these methods above was created. This article can provide a reference for constructing and developing more theme parks of heritage tourism destinations.
