Resumen

This article presents two possible applications of the work that aims the revival of musical pieces and repertoires that currently remain forgotten in sheet music. Through the study and knowledge of primary and secondary sources of the traditional music compiled in the Province of Albacete some guidelines can be established to apply features of the first group to the second. In this way, melodies that have lost their dynamic aspects and distinctive features –such as the guitar techniques or the several versions of one piece– can be performed again. Thus, Ethnomusicology fulfils a social function further from academic research.
