Abstract

The overall aim of this article is related to a theoretical proposal of the need to create a cante route in Alentejo. It is, thus, sought to identify the main points of dissemination of the cante, as well as appreciate its importance in the need and promotion, only of the cante as intangible heritage of humanity, but also its promotion for the Alentejo region while identity mark of a people. The aim is, then, to define the potential and assess the conditions for the implementation of that route and provide more national and international visibility to our territory and our traditions, through a campaign of Territorial Marketing, boosting tourism, new business and employment opportunities, among others
