This study examined the contents and systems of the archives produced for the preservation of the original form and the proper transmission of the Jeongjae item of important intangible cultural properties, discussed the problems of the differences in the Jeongjae contents between the content reported to be designated and the content that has been transmitted and the omission of the scholarly historical investigation for the reproduction of the designated Jeongjae, and presented the way to conduct scholarly historical research for the designation of the Jeongjae item for the future.First, the scholarly historical investigation should be included in the designation application, the designation investigation report, and the archives to designate the national dance and the dance content, created for Eojea and Yeajea, which have been transmitted as the Jeongjae items in the archives, such as 『Goryesa』「Akji」,『Akhakgwebeom』, and 『Jeongjae -mudoholgi』 as intangible cultural properties. The three reports need to be written based on the first designation application and have the connection with each other. Also, unlike the traditional dance, the literature to reproduce the cultural original form of the dance through scholarly historical investigation exists for Jeongjae, the scholarly historical investigation for the designation and reproduction of Jeongjae must be required in the future. Such scholarly historical investigation should be conducted in the following steps: first, the literature interpretation of Jeongjae Holgi; second, the content examination of Jeongjae through the combined comparison of Jeongjae; third, the research integrated song, dance, music, and ritual.Second, since the basic principle for the cultural property preservation is rooted in the preservation of the original form and this principle is applied to the intangible cultural property, the following systems need to be established to realize such cultural original form. First, the system including the scholarly historical investigation should be established in the designation application, the system for cultural property committees who write the designation investigation report should be changed to the system for them to consider if the scholarly historical investigation had been done properly, and then the result of the scholarly historical investigation should be submitted. Second, the designation of Jeongjae needs to be done in the periodic standard of Jeongjae, not the transmitter-based standard and put the meaning on continuing the intangible culture of the old period, not the Jeongjae culture of the transmitter. Third, the principle for the designation of Jeongjae should be based on the literature record and the system for the reproduction content can be transmitted as written in the literature record. Fourth, the guideline for the cultural original form of Jeongjae should be differentiated into invariability and variability and presented. Fifth, the possessor of the Jeongjae designation should be appointed if he or she has both theoretical knowledge and performance ability to conduct the scholarly historical investigation on the literature and educate and reproduce the investigation. Sixth, the managing supervisor is required to oversee the proper transmission system based on the report documents and the literature record. |
