Abstract

Intangible cultural heritage has unique spiritual value, mindset and imagination of the Chinese nation. It embodies the vitality and creativity of the Chinese nation. It is the crystallization of the wisdom of all nationalities and the treasure of the whole human civilization. Based on the cases of the visual symbols of intangible cultural heritage in Tianjin, this paper expounds the role of visual identity system in the dissemination of intangible cultural heritage and discusses how to avoid misinterpreting information in communication. Besides the ways of developing the visual identity system of intangible cultural heritage are suggested.
