| Abstract |
The education of early film means to introduce the new generation of students to the history of cinema and the first forms of film narration that the pioneers have created since the end of the 19th century. The period of the origins of cinema is characterized in particular by the life of the inventors of different devices in the world, and their experimentations towards the creation of a new expressive artistic language produced with the new techniques and technologies of moving images. This contribution describes a research path on cinema education and the introduction of cinema in the school context to promote the Intangible Cultural Heritage ICH. With a historical and interdisciplinary approach, the students discover a greater awareness of cinema and its technological goals, the cultural and artistic evolutions, as well as the birth of the first cinematographic genres, the key figures of the history of cinema and their first productions at artisanal level and subsequently at industrial level. The educational aims, based on the education to the early films, are to sensitize the student in appreciating the importance of cinematographic language and its development. Also to promote the value of these films as a historical source of the content and the exceptional, poetic and aesthetic language of the images when they transmit the traditions of the past, celebrating the culture of a hundred years ago in different places of the world: this is the intangible cultural heritage of humanity. |
