The article reflects mutual cooperation of Czech and Slovak puppeteers for the recognition of its tradition and present in connection with the registration in ICH, the historical situation and context in Czech and Slovak Puppet theatre, collaboration linked to the historical legacy of the puppetry tradition and the Current collaboration and prospects.In countries that have a strong puppetry tradition, puppet theatre carries significant cultural and social importance. Its inscription on the list of Intangible Cultural Heritage(UNESCO) is considered a significant step that will in the future help preserve the puppetry tradition in the Czech Republic and Slovakia and develop related activities including tourism.
