Therefore, this article proposes an innovative framework to protect intangible cultural heritage using advanced multimedia technology drawing on digital twins and 3D modeling. It explores common traits and values, assesses confidence levels in their significance, and underscores the critical importance of safeguarding intangible cultural legacy. By collecting data in multimedia technology, constructing a business model, setting relevant parameters, and applying corresponding nodes in digital twin technology, this framework aims to ensure accurate reproduction of intangible cultural legacy data. Features of intangible cultural legacy data are extracted, key points are identified, feature data are accurately located, and noise reduction is performed. After matching these feature points, 3D modeling is conducted drawing on them. The model comprises three main components: the flow of intangible cultural legacy data in the 3D scene, client-side operations, and server-side operations. Implementing this technology to create three-dimensional scenes of intangible cultural legacy improves heritage data conservation and advances innovative multimedia techniques for safeguarding intangible cultural legacy. Experimental outcomes indicate that the suggested approach significantly enhances intangible cultural legacy conservation.
