AB - In this paper, it is used Field research, literature data and other research methods. This paper studies the current situation and characteristics of folk sports in Hubei Province. Minority sports have characteristics of combination of national and regional, inheritance and variation, entertainment and appreciation, style combination and so on. Based on characteristics of folk sports, it provides some reference to the Hubei provincial government and relevant departments how to take various measures to actively protect and use of these valuable intangible cultural heritage, so that these local folk traditional sports inheritance and development better, and to promote the development of Hubei Province minority folk sports better.
