Recently, an important of studies on pansori is increased, so lots of performancesare presented in several academic journals such as "A study on Korean music", "Journalof Korean music history", "Education of Korean traditional music", "A study on Koreantraditional music education", "A study on pansori", etc. An important related to Pansoriis emphasized so much by registering pansori in international intangible heritage, etc. So,people who studied Korean literature in the past conducted studies by focusing on editorialsmainly, but scholars of Korean traditional music are recently conducting so many studiesrelated to pansori. Furthermore, lots of doctoral courses majoring on practice were recentlycreated in each university, so performers who actually perform pansori are representingtheses so many times. However, researches related to pansori are common subject for notonly musical studies but also adjacent studies such as Korean studies, folklore, etc. Therefore, there was no study which examined studies related to musical studiessynthetically.This researcher intends to examine typical characteristics related to musical studies basedon the contents. What are related to pansori studies should be examined by type and thisreseracher intends to analyze mainly existing theses registered in academic journals anddoctoral theses which are presented recently.Total 85 objective theses were selected so as to analyze types of studies on pansoriand based on it, title, table of contents and contents of each thesis were examined in order.By dividing types, they were analyzed by 4 forms such as period, performer, music and content. Periodically, there were 3 theses conducted from 1970 to 1990, 13 thesis from1990 to 2000 and 69 theses after 2000, so theses were rapidly increased. For theses relatedto performer, there were studies on total 43 performers. For studies related to music, therewere 38 chunhyangga, 16 shimchungga, 9 sugungga, 10 heungboga, 2 jukbyukga, 5 dangaand 5 created pansori. For studies related to content, there were 39 theses related to pansoridisplay, 29 theses related to melody, 9 theses related to beat, 6 theses related to editorialand 2 theses related to vocalization in order. a1225-0651
