Especially, jongga culture needs to be newly understood as part of traditional living culture. This is even more so because living culture like jongga can go beyond scientific civilization in modern times, presenting a vision for the future. From this viewpoint, this study has been designed and written. Furthermore, the study also examined whether jongga culture is worth as a world intangible cultural heritage.In order to preserve and restore global cultural assets which are in the danger of extinction, UNESCO has created a list of valuable and unique intangible heritages. Through this, UNESCO leads people in the world to have interest in cultural heritages and preserve them. It was examined whether jongga culture based on Gyeongbuk, Korea satisfies the criteria for inclusion into the Representative List of the Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity. The results found that the jongga culture satisfies the criteria.
