Documentary materials in carinthia, Austria: An outline of the current situation and the organization methods in the archives of the Slovene ethnographic Institute of Urban Jarnik and the Christian Cultural Association in Klagenfurt, Austria

The article investigates the collection, classification, and storage of documents in the Slovene Ethnographic Institute of Urban Jarnik (Slovenski narodopisni inštitut Urban Jarnik) and the Christian Cultural Association (Krščanska kulturna zveza) in Klagenfurt (Celovec), Austria. If we wish to adequately preserve valuable documentary materials an equal level of attention should be given to the material (tangible) and to the immaterial (intangible) aspects of documentation. This text discusses collections of intangible and tangible cultural heritage which are safeguarded by both institutions.
