Dictionaries, encyclopedias and lexicons of traditional clothing as a form of their identification and documentation of intangible cultural heritage

Direct information publishers have attracted a lot of interest in the last few decades, they are created in print and online versions. They have already been developed in many areas of knowledge. In this article, I will look at selected foreign-language encyclopaedias, dictionaries and lexicons devoted to traditional folk, national or ethnic costumes to demonstrate that they are an important source of intangible heritage documentation. Polish attempts to create this type of publication and how their layout was planned were also presented.
