Application of Yangzhou freehand embroidery flower-and-bird subject in Chinese woollen clothing design

By analyzing both the artistic characteristics of Yangzhou freehand embroidery and the design features of Chinese woollen clothes, this paper seeks the conjunction point of flower and bird pattern in Yangzhou freehand embroidery which is a representative of the intangible cultural heritage and Chinese woollen clothes. As well, it analyzes Yangzhou freehand embroidery flower-and-bird pattern, definitely suitable pattern categories in Chinese woollen clothes. Through the design of case analysis, this article mokes clear the pattern selection, application methods, technology approach and trend of Yangzhou freehand embroidery flower and bird pattern in modern Chinese woollen clothes. It provides a new development direction for the protestion and inhertance of Yangzhou embroidery as well as personalized design of modern Chinese woollen clothes.
