AB - Cities are dynamic organisms of human social activities, and the metabolic process of this huge organism is urban renewal. On the one hand, urban renewal is the transformation, removal, maintenance and rebuilding of urban infrastructure and other hardware; on the other hand, it is the transformation of the urban ecological environment, the continuation and reinterpretation of the historical context. Ecological civilization is a civilization with rich connotation. From the perspective of system science, ecological civilization is a system composed of the interaction and interdependence of three subsystems: human, environment, resources and energy. As an important cultural resource of a city, intangible cultural heritage is contained in a large system of ecological civilization. This paper has conducted in-depth research on the relationship between the protection and management of urban intangible cultural heritage and ecological civilization through literature research and the introduction of a coordination model. This research will greatly promote the management of intangible cultural heritage, and meet the substantial social needs of urban life.
