TY - JOUR AU - Shaoting Zeng AU - Xinzi Li AU - Jingyi Tan AU - Xinyan Li AB - The intangible essence represents the core nature of intangible cultural heritage (ICH). Using Peking Opera as a case study, this research explores methods for the digital revitalization and derivative design of its intangible content-stylized movements. Kinect motion capture technology was employed to collect motion trajectory data during stylized performances by Peking Opera performers. Using digital morphogenesis, the motion data were transformed into 3D models. Common morphological features were identified from the 3D models as the proto-morphology of Peking Opera ICH. Through qualitative analysis using Phase Space Diagrams and quantitative calculations via affine transformation, the Lorenz hyperbolic equation was established as the mathematical rule of the proto-morphology. A parametric model with controllable design parameters was constructed, enabling the generation of diverse derivative forms by adjusting the parameters. This study provides a generalized method for the digital revitalization and derivative design of other ICH categories.
