The goal is not to make a literary analysis, but on the basis of bibliographic and archive sources, the recognition of those women’s authorship. Most of them are anonymous and we only know some few names. Testimonies about those chanters are known since xv century and with the decay of the traditional world (late xix century), they gradually disappeared. However, those singer women appeared again in the squares of the Basque Country as bertsolari, alongside with men, in the xx century last quarter.
