Artificial Intelligence (AI) algorithms and techniques (appropriately applied to the Recovery of the Intangible Cultural Heritage of the Mapuche culture) allowed us to obtain valuable results: the automatic description space for ritual dances, the automatic colourising of historical visual records, the writing of new native poems, the transferring of musical timbre, and the synthetic elaboration of an audiovisual story: from the Mapuche culture to the world. The main contribution of this work is to have combined and applied AI tools for the recovery and preservation of Mapuche cultural heritage and make it available for the rest of humanity. The dataset “trutruca” generated, together with the collection of public datasets on the artistic and cultural records of the Mapuche in Chile and Argentina, will be of great value for future research work on social aspects of Digital Heritage, such as the detection, analysis, and classification of facial and body emotions in the dances of native cultures. a18650929 (ISSN); 9783031105241 (ISBN)
