The interchange of information between the inheritors of such heritage and consumers across different media is being investigated to promote the inheritance, protection, and innovative dissemination of intangible cultural heritage based on the theory of participatory culture. Thus, this study explores the current interchange of information between inheritors of intangible cultural heritage and consumers in terms of disciplines, content, and platforms, and summarizes their characteristics and paths across different media. In addition, this study constructs an information interchange model that includes online, offline, and full-chain modes under the guidance of participatory culture. Through extensive, multidimensional, and in-depth audience participation, intangible cultural heritage becomes intimately linked to emerging forms of consumption and current cultural industries, resulting in creative transformation, living legacy, and innovation of intangible cultural heritage.
