In 2015, Korea passed the Intangible Cultural Heritage act, independent from the Cultural Heritage Protection Act, increasing interest in the uses and commercialization of these cultural assets. Traditional music and folk songs have followed a similar trajectory of commercialization. In the digital age, efforts to revitalize folk songs were made through archival efforts. Various projects were carried out with the aim of utilizing the assets. However, the existing archives were not designed with music creators in mind. This study was conducted to provide folk songs to creative artists as creative resources. First, musical phrases were extracted as data, and then metadata based on musical attributes were developed for user recommendations. Emotional coordinates were also given through Russell s model of emotion. These are ways to improve the usability of these assets for music creators who are not familiar with Korean music. a2093-6494
