Informe sobre el patrimonio musical de A Coruña

Since the Modern Age, the most important contribution of A Coruña to the field of the arts has been music, in which the stimulus of its authorities and population with a determined music-loving vocation has managed to achieve a high level of excellence which has continued up to the present day, accumulating a valuable tangible and intangible heritage. Proof of this is the existence of about thirty public and private institutions, organizations, entities and associations which generate a cultural sector considered strategic due to the involvement of more than 500 families of professionals as well as hundreds of coral members, subscribers and fans, whose number exceeds the most optimistic estimates. But far from having an encouraging outlook, economic precariousness of the sector and its dependence on public administrations have caused alarm which has not gone unnoticed in this report.
